The label Ethel-Richards was founded in the year 2002 in London UK by Ethel A. Senyah who happens to be the Creative Director of the brand. Ethel’s love for fashion begun at an early age of 14 when she attended a vocational school in Ghana-West Africa for 2years to study fashion designs. She continued to chase her passion by advancing her education at the London school of fashion where she acquired a degree in Fashion Design Technology and HND in pattern cutting.
Ethel’s inspiration came from London’s plethoric culture adapting theatrical designs into wearable pieces. London College of Fashion was her platform of discipline allowing her to explore her creativity. Ethel has since had the opportunity to work with fashion moguls such as Vera Wang, Amanda Wakely, Alexander McQueen, Jasmine Di Milo(Harrods), Nichol Farhi, Ben & Ed, and Giles Deacon.
